Bromley Council received planning permission for the extensive refurbishment and transformation of Walnuts Leisure Centre.
2025
January
This includes the erection of hoardings around the building site, the removal of equipment from the centre, and the draining of the pool to prepare for extensive refurbishment.
2025
February
Scaffolding begins to be erected around the Walnuts and will affect some public spaces. The shops beneath the scaffolding are still operating as usual.
2026
The Walnuts leisure centre is set to reopen following the completions of the works.
